HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween! What is your favorite Halloween themed book?

  1. I know it's a little late for Halloween, but here are some of my favorite spooky picture books, that I will be enjoying all year!

Just out this October from Abrams, On a Windy Night by Nancy Raines Day, illustrated by George Bates. It's spooky but not too scary, made to read aloud, and filled with inventively eerie art that kids will want to go back to again and again.

I also love Ghosts in the House by Kazuno Kahara. Both the simple story and the art are cleverly charming.

And of Course Linda Williams and Megan Lloyd's The Old Woman Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything--such a fun book to read aloud and keep the kids in suspense. What fun!

    Thanks for your contribution.
