So I just saw that they posted the daily session grids for BEA
And then I read through them
And then my head started pounding with anticipation and
excitement
And then I googled the best way to get to the Javits Center
(sounds like a cab is it btw), esp when it comes to lugging all the awesome
swag back to my room at the end of the day!
And then I started an Excel chart of ALL my fellow
librarians and twitter friends I want to be sure to meet in real life, for the first
time at the conference
And then I started another Excel chart of what to pack (you
know, how many bags and what kinds of shoes, and my self filtering water bottle,
among other things)
And then I crashed hard, from all the excitement…again
Here’s to an awesome BEA 2013!
What are YOU doing to prepare!?! ?
I'll be keeping you posted on my preparations, initial thoughts, author breakfast updates, and overall awesomeness of the conference in the upcoming weeks! Stay tuned!!
It's always nice to have backups but the exhibitors often have lovely totes and reusable bags to give away on the floor too. I'm so excited for May!
ReplyDeleteToo funny. I do excel sheets too!
ReplyDeleteI don't know where you are staying, but many hotels listed through the BEA travel part of the website offer shuttles to and from Javits. Worked like clockwork. Shuttle stopped at our hotel last year picked us up at 7am and we caught last one end of each day. Free. Big huge bus.
ReplyDeletealways amusing to see "...of America" in an event name, when what they intend is "...of the United States," and what the organization actually accomplishes is "...of New York City." C'mon book expo organizers, move the event around, make it truly national. And what i really mean is bring it to El Lay.
